Rev Karen Fry — CEO & Spiritual Leader
Rev Karen Fry brings a radiant joy, a global perspective, and a passion for spiritual travel to every journey. She has personally led Spirit Tours across Bali, Bhutan, Costa Rica, Egypt, Ireland, Japan, Peru, South Africa, Uganda, and many other sacred destinations.
Her leadership blends:

- An eye for beauty through wildlife photography
- A long history of global travel
Karen served as Co-Spiritual Director at CSLDallas for eight years and held national leadership roles within Centers for Spiritual Living for sixteen consecutive years. Before ministry, she spent 23 years in executive leadership, generating more than $30 million in growth for a medical device company. Her blend of spiritual depth and business acumen ensures Spirit Tours remains financially strong, ethically led, and spiritually grounded.
Rev Dr Petra Weldes — Spiritual Leader
For over 40 years, Rev Dr Petra Weldes has inspired spiritual awakening through her teaching, speaking, and leadership at CSLDallas. She is known for translating complex ideas into accessible, life-changing truths that help travelers connect with their inner wisdom.
Petra creates environments of safety, curiosity, and spiritual exploration. She has co-led journeys across Costa Rica, Bali, New Zealand, Ireland, Scotland, and Uganda, and developed our New England “New Thought Roots Tour.”
Her clarity, humor, and depth make her one of the most beloved teachers in the New Thought movement. She guides travelers into moments of insight that continue long after the journey ends.

Our Story
Spirit Tours was founded in 2001 by Jim Cramer, a veteran traveler inspired by his years in Bali and a vision sparked by Dr. Edward Viljoen: to create a sacred pilgrimage to the island. With support from his family, Jim grew Spirit Tours into a beloved spiritual travel company serving CSL, Unity, and yoga communities worldwide.
Karen and Petra traveled with Spirit Tours for more than 15 years. In the summer of 2022, they purchased the company, honoring Jim’s founding vision while expanding its reach and spiritual depth.
Although destinations evolve, the core belief remains unchanged:

Cynthia James
Cynthia James is a transformational specialist and one of today’s most beloved spiritual teachers. She has guided thousands worldwide through deep, lasting healing and growth.
Whether coaching, speaking, or teaching, she invites participants into Inquiry, Introspection, and Integration.
She holds two Master’s degrees: one in Consciousness Studies from Holmes Institute and another in Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica. Cynthia blends creative arts with therapeutic techniques to inspire growth across all ages and cultures. She also shares her message through bestselling books, including “What Will Set You Free”, “Revealing Your Extraordinary Essence”, and “I Choose Me”.
Jim Cramer
More than 20 years ago, Jim Cramer founded Spirit Tours, inspired by his years in Bali and a vision sparked by Dr Edward Viljoen: a sacred pilgrimage to the island.
With support from his wife and children, Jim Cramer grew Spirit Tours into a family business serving CSL, Unity, and yoga communities worldwide. What began as one family’s vision has blossomed into decades of journeys filled with spiritual deepening and shared memories.
Dr Tracy Brown, RScP (LHD)
Guided by Spirit. Groomed to serve. Glazed in the fire of business. Generous with her time and talents. Grown through prayer. This is Tracy Brown.
Tracy is an author, speaker, and popular teacher throughout the New Thought Movement. Her books include “Stained Glass Spirit: Becoming a Spiritual Community Where Oneness Does Not Require Sameness” and “I Turn to Prayer.”
Based in Dallas, Texas, Tracy is actively involved as a teacher and leader at CSLDallas. She serves as President of Intentional Inclusion Inc. and is recognized nationally as a leading expert on diversity and inclusion. She studies cultural change and has traveled widely: throughout the United States, plus Senegal, The Gambia, Brazil, France, Mexico, Canada, and Jamaica.
Rev Dr Kathy Hearn
Dr Kathy Hearn is an international speaker, consultant, counselor and facilitator. In 2012, she completed 10 years as Community Spiritual Leader of United Centers for Spiritual Living, playing a pivotal role in the integration of International and United Centers for Spiritual Living.
Currently, Dr. Kathy serves as Dean of the Centers for Spiritual Living School of Spiritual Leadership – San Diego Regional Center. She serves on the Cultural Integrity and Evolution team, the Growth and Development Committee, and the Board of Governors for Spiritual Living Archives. In addition, she serves on the Leadership Council of the Association for Global New Thought and appeared in the film “The Heart to Lead.”
Jessica Kolbe
Jessica Kolbe is an educator in the Health and Wellness field. She is a Level 3 certified Tai Chi and Qigong instructor, one of only six Senior Teacher Trainers for The Institute of Qigong and Tai Chi (IIQTC).
