In the evening, we will have dinner on our own at the ocean front restaurant
Day 2: Dec. 29th, 2021- Every morning before starting our yoga practice with Shoshana we have a small ceremony where we smug ourselves with incense, bless ourselves with water and receive a flower. Thus the Hindu Trinity Brahma the Creator or Represented by fire, Vishnu the Preserver represented by water and Shiva (Siwa) the renewer represented by flower. On Bali there are two ways to pray: ‘mbakti’ and ‘muspa’. The first is worship through devotion, the second shows respect with flowers (Gitana will explain this ancient ritual to the group). Your welcome *Sarong and Sashes will be handed out.
The day is spent slowing down to the pace of Balinese life, where every moment is a gift of harmony and balance. This will be our opportunity to pray and reflect on the last year of the pandemic and say goodbye to those whom we may know that may have passed or to any unwanted fears or sadness. It will also be the opportunity to say goodbye to what you want to leave behind in Bali. After lunch We will learn how to create flower offerings and flower mandalas. The water flows from an underground spring beneath a giant Banyan Tree and is considered holy. The Balinese use the water for temple ceremonies.
