Feel the Presence and Power of Life Itself in the ancient Egyptian temples, Great Pyramids, Valley of the Kings/Queens, Nile Cruise, and the new Grand Egyptian Museum. Each day, we come together and do spiritual practice together and dive deep into the mysterious, mystical Presence of Egypt.
Imagine having the priceless experience of soaking up some of the most sacred ancient places on the planet privately as a small group – no other tourists/people around! We have that opportunity while visiting: the Giza Plateau (stand between the paws of the Great Sphinx); Philae / Isis Temple at Dawn (meditation at sunrise); and the Great Pyramid (private meditation inside the King’s Chamber).

Arrive to Cairo Airport where you will be met by a Travel Manager who will assist you through customs before transferring you to your luxury, 5-star accommodations at the Mena House Hotel. Bask in the exquisite beauty of the Mena House grounds and the Great Pyramids in view!
Day 2, Thurs, Nov 13th: Opening Circle / Grand Egyptian Museum / Khan El Khalili / El Moez Street Welcome Dinner
Our first site visit is the new Grand Egyptian Museum. The Grand Egyptian Museum features 20,000+ relics that have never been on display before. Additionally, there are several items belonging to King Tutankhamen that hadn’t been released since their original discovery in 1922. In total, this museum holds and displays over 100,000 different artifacts dating to a variety of periods in Egypt’s history making it the largest archaeological museum in the world. “It will be an event you’ll never ever forget for the rest of your life,” promised Mostafa Waziry, head of the Supreme Council of Antiquities.
Followed by a visit to Al-Muizz li-Din Allah Street is an eloquent witness for historical Cairo with the various monuments spread along both sides of the street. You can walk along with history when you walk in Al-Muizz Street – the most beautiful Islamic street in Cairo, Islamic monuments & mosques are on each side of the Street, there you can view El Hakem Mosque 1000 years ago.
In this same area, we visit the Khan El-Khalili Bazaar, one of the oldest shopping districts in the world. You’re transported back in time to an old Arab souk – it’s like going back to the time of Ali Baba and Aladdin. Merchants have been trading on this site since at least the 14th century. In 1384, an emir named Al Khalili built a great Khan here. Buyers visited the khan for the goods brought in on the merchant caravans, and the selling and bartering spread to the streets around. You’ll get to experience shop owners calling you to their stalls, the scent of spices, the hustle and bustle of trade, and the many beautiful objects that can be purchased will have you lost among alleys for hours. Put your haggling skills to the test when buying statuettes, silk pashminas, spices, souvenirs, silver jewelry, t-shirts, gallabiyahs, belly dancing costumes, or almost anything for that matter.
In the evening we enjoy our Welcome Dinner at one of the famous Egyptian local restaurants.

This dramatic temple poised between the edge of the river and the encroaching desert sand was dedicated to two gods – Sobek the crocodile god of strength, fortitude, fertility and rebirth, and Horus the hawk-headed son of Isis and Osiris. The duality of light/ dark, yin/yang, conscious/unconscious is apparent in this ancient site. One of the most powerful places in Kom Ombo is the Seat of Neutrality, which is placed on the exact centerline between the parts of the temple that are dedicated to Horus/Sobek and Light/Dark.
We then continue sailing and dock overnight on an island near Kom Ombo.

The side chambers of the Temple of Horus show the complexity of ancient rites; they include a healing chamber, a perfumery, and singers’ rooms.
One chamber, called the House of Life, stored all the sacred texts used in seasonal and daily rituals. Horus is associated with higher vision and clarity. The eye of Horus greatly relates to his myth and power. The left eye represents the lunar, the moon, the intuitive, the feminine energy. The right eye is connected to the solar, the masculine, the action, and the yang energy. Both are necessary for true power to exist.
