Join Spirit Tours for an adventure into the Heart of Nature. With vast open spaces filled with stunning rugged landscapes, gorgeous beaches, and fascinating animal and plant life. We will be immersed in a land with spectacular glaciers, picturesque fiords, wild rivers that flow through rain forests to the sea. We will see pristine lakes and pastoral forests that hug volcanic slopes, and snowcapped peaks that pierce the sky. We will have daily spiritual meetings amongst beautiful natural surroundings and have exciting adventures including an overnight cruise on Milford Sound.
Day 1: Travel to Queenstown via Sydney. Upon arrival in Queeenstown you will be transferred to your beautiful lakefront hotel.
Day 2: Today you will visit Arrowtown, nestled beside the Arrow River. Visitors can enjoy gold panning, tours around historic buildings, and numerous walking trails, afternoon is free to explore Queenstown. Queenstown’s stunning scenery is a once in a lifetime experience. In the evening we highly recommend the optional Lake Cruise about the TSS Earnslaw. Dinner is included.
Day 3: A free day in Queenstown – Options include:
Day 4: After breakfast and our morning meeting we will depart for Te Anau. Upon arrival in the picturesque township of Te Anau which is the main visitor base for the glacier-carved wilderness that is Fiordland National Park. After checking into our hotel we will take an evening tour and experience a mysterious underground world of rushing water before drifting in silent darkness beneath the luminous shimmer of hundreds of glowworms. Deep inside the caves, beyond the roar of the water, you will be taken by small boat into a silent hidden grotto inhabited by thousands of glowworms. Enjoy dinner on your own (dinning and event suggestions will be available by your Spirit Tours guide).
Day 5: After breakfast and our morning meeting we will have the morning to pack and get ready for our overnight cruise on the Milford Sound.
The wonder of the MV Mariner cruise ship will be your home for the next 18 hours in the middle of a World Heritage Site, the Milford Sound. We will venture past various coves in search of wildlife such as dolphins, seals, penguins and whales. We will witness amazing waterfalls and beautiful nature surrounding us everywhere. Group dinner included.
Day 6: The next morning we will work our way back through the sound and view active waterfalls before arriving back at the port. We will then board our coach which will take us back to Queenstown airport. We will fly as a group to a quaint little town of Nelson, on the South Island. After checking into our hotel enjoy the evening to explore Nelson, and have dinner on your own. (Suggested restaurants and evening activities will be provided by your Spirit Tours Staff).
Day 7: After our breakfast and morning meeting we will take a ferry to Medlands Beach. Once we arrive you will have the opportunity to relax on the beach, take a walk to Bark Bay (10 minutes) and further along the Waterfall Trail to the new Swing Bridge.
3:00 PM we will return to Nelson for an evening on your own.
Day 8: After our morning meeting and breakfast we will fly to Auckland, located on the north Island. Auckland is a bled of the harbor, surrounding islands, Polynesian Culture and a cosmopolitan city. After transfer to our hotel we will have the afternoon and evening to explore the city.
Day 9: After breakfast and our morning meeting we will take transportation to the top of Mt. Eden. We will visit one of Auckland’s most famous iconic landmarks, Maungawhau (Mt. Eden), a dormant volcano. We will descend by walking down the Mountain as a group.
Optional afternoon outing (must be booked in advance):
2:30 PM Board your coach and travel to your ship at the Quay Street Pride of Auckland Jetty. Here you will have an afternoon sailing experience.
Dinner will be on your own in Auckland
Day 10: After breakfast and your morning meeting you will have the option to depart for Hobbiton or Waiheke Island.
In the evening we will have our farewell dinner.
Day 10: After breakfast and our morning meeting we will say our farewells and be transferred to the airport for our flight home.
