DAILY ITINERARY SUMMARY
Arrive in Entebbe, Uganda and check-in to the Best Western Premier Garden Hotel Entebbe. This property epitomizes deluxe hospitality, blending international comfort and standards with local charm. Conveniently located 7.2 kilometers from Entebbe International Airport (EBB) and adjacent to Victoria Mall, it is the perfect location to arrive, relax, and even shop upon your arrival.
We rise early to have breakfast and begin our journey in upscale Land Cruiser Jeeps. (These jeeps are how we journey through Uganda and enjoy our safari drives. The tops are fully open for the best viewing experience.)
Our first stop is at the Ziwa Rhino and Wildlife Ranch for Rhino Trekking – a Brush with Ancient Giants.
We embark on a journey into the heart of rhino territory where ancient giants roam freely. Rhino trekking offers a rare and intimate encounter with these majestic creatures, a testament to the conservation efforts that echo the evolution of consciousness in our commitment to preserving endangered species.
Six southern white rhinos were introduced to Ziwa back in 2006. But, since then this sanctuary has had many successful births, bringing their numbers to 41. Presently, Ziwa is the only place in Uganda where you can see white rhinos in the wild.
After our trekking experience, we will have a delicious lunch and sacred group time to set intentions and get to know one another.
After lunch, we depart for Murchison Falls National Park. Murchison Falls National Park is situated in the northern part of the Albertine Rift Valley, a place where the massive Bunyoro escarpment amalgamates into the enormous plains of Acholi land. It is well known to be one of Uganda’s ancient conservation areas.
In 1951, a movie was shot with background scenery of the Murchison Falls that was Humphrey Bogart in John Huston’s prominent movie. Another movie was the African Queen which was shot in the vicinity of the Murchison Nile along with Lake Albert.
We’ll start our time in the National Park at the Top of the Falls. It’s a leisurely short walk to the top of the falls to witness the power, beauty, and the creative force of water taking place.
Murchison Falls is located on the Nile River (White/Victoria Nile River portion) coming out of Lake Victoria. One of the intriguing facets of the falls is the amount of water that squeezes through the narrow gap in the rocks.
The gap measures only 23 feet (7 m) across before plunging down 141 feet (43 m). The source delivers 11,000 cubic feet per second (300 m³/s) creating one of the most powerful waterfalls in Africa.
Afterwards, we’ll travel into the National Park to check-in to our home base at the Pakuba Safari Lodge. The lodge is the perfect location for our safari game drives and to enjoy the grandeur of the majestic River Nile.
We’ll celebrate our first full day together and the journey yet to come at our Welcome Dinner.
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
We rise early for breakfast and then head out on our first safari game drive to experience a symphony of wildlife.
Our day begins the perfect way with an awe-inspiring safari, a journey into the untamed beauty of this national park. We traverse the vast landscapes that host a symphony of wildlife – from graceful giraffes and majestic elephants to magnificent big cats and an array of colorful birdlife. This safari experience serves as the gateway to the evolution of consciousness, as each encounter with nature becomes a moment of profound connection.
After our safari game drive, we return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation by the pool/river.
In the afternoon, we experience the powerful falls from an entirely different perspective – below the falls – where African Queen Once Roamed. We visit the falls where the iconic film ‘African Queen’ was filmed, immersing ourselves in the same landscapes that captivated the silver screen thanks to private, chartered boats. Feel the mist on your face as you witness the falls’ majesty, understanding the power of nature to transcend time and evoke a sense of timeless consciousness.
Our enchanting river excursion also unveils the secrets of Uganda’s waterways as we cruise along the riverbanks where wildlife congregates in a stunning display of natural harmony. Witness the dance of the hippos, the majestic strides of crocodiles, and the vibrant array of bird species that call these rivers home. The serene waters become a canvas for the evolution of consciousness, a reminder of the interconnectedness of all living beings.
Before returning to our lodge for dinner, we make a special stop at the Equator. Now that’s not something you say every day.
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
We rise early for breakfast and then head out for another safari game drive. With great anticipation and expectation, we look forward to new experiences, as nature is never the same twice when encountering her beauty and her wildlife.
We continue our drive to another magnificent National Park in Uganda – Queen Elizabeth National Park.
We’ll stop and have lunch along the way and arrive at our next home away from home – the intimate and special Twin Lakes Safari Lodge. The lodge is perched on the edge of the escarpment adjacent to the Queen Elizabeth National Park. Its exclusive position affords it some of the most spectacular views. We stay in spacious cottages that have been designed with a feel of contemporary African culture in mind and include a private shaded veranda with spectacular views of Queen Elizabeth National Park, the Kazinga Channel that links Lake George and Lake Edward, and the Rwenzori Mountain Ranges.
After getting settled in, we’ll have dinner together.
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
This morning is all about rest and relaxation! Taking in the vast views, enjoy the pool and the lodge property.
In the afternoon, we discover the Hidden Gems of Uganda’s Queen Elizabeth National Park on a private Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise Safari.
Experience the raw beauty of Queen Elizabeth National Park from a new perspective as we embark on a boat cruise down the Kazinga channel. This ultimate safari adventure allows you to soak in the tranquil scenery and view African wildlife as our boats gently cruise down the park’s waterways.
Nestled in the heart of Africa lies the breathtaking Kazinga Channel, a gentle river that runs 36 kilometers and connects lakes Edward and George. This stunning waterway bisects Queen Elizabeth National Park and is home to the highest concentration of hippos in the world. But the banks of the Kazinga Channel are much more than just a hippo haven as they are teeming with life.
During our private boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, you will be immersed in a breathtaking wildlife experience with an array of big and small creatures ranging from feathered to ferocious. The channel teems with African birds, visiting elephants, buffalo, lions, and the notorious Nile crocodiles. But the real stars of the show are the hippos with about 2,000 of these adorable yet dangerous creatures living in more than 600 bloats on the channel. Having private boats just for us, is the best way to marvel at these water giants that bring you up close and personal with these magnificent creatures.
Before returning to our lodge for dinner, we make a special stop at the Equator. Now that’s not something you say every day.
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
We rise early for breakfast and prepare to get our steps in as we drive to the Karinzu Forest for a Chimpanzee Trekking experience.
We delve into the lush jungles, echoing with the calls of chimpanzees. Trek through the forests to witness the playful antics and complex social structures of our primate relatives. This experience fosters a profound connection with the natural world, igniting a sense of shared consciousness with our closest evolutionary kin.
We come back to enjoy the pool, the scenic overview, and lunch.
In the late afternoon and early evening, there’s an option to go out in our jeeps and venture out into the grassy plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park for an evening safari game drive. This scenic corner of Uganda boasts astounding biodiversity, and the wildlife concentration here is among the best in the country. We drive across the savanna, exposing our senses to the raw beauty of Africa, and let our guides find the optimal viewing spots. With over 95 mammal species and more than 600 species of bird, there is no shortage of game to see.
And, you’re guaranteed to see some BIG CATS. One of the most interesting experiential activity in Uganda is Lion tracking. This research is only possible within Queen Elizabeth National Park under the Uganda Carnivore Project. While on this activity, we join the researchers in the field as they track the Lions in their natural habitats.
Thanks to our close relations with local guides and advance booking, you’ll get the chance to enjoy what others describe as breathtaking. We may even get to track leopards.
After having our breath taken away yet again, we return home to our lodge to have dinner together.
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
We rise early for breakfast and are on the move again. On this day, we head out across Queen Elizabeth National Park, see the savanna come to life as another day in the bush begins, and head towards sacred mountains. We’ll continue to see unique wildlife along our entire journey.
We stop for lunch and a very special cultural connection with local women who are doing GREAT things for their community thanks to their leadership and initiative.
We arrive in the Bwindi Mountains and invite you to breathe – breathe in the Tree of Life as represented by this majestic and magical forest. Our next home base is the magnificent Mahogany Springs Lodge. Mahogany Springs Lodge is the perfect home base for our gorilla trekking experience, offering our group privacy and optimal comfort in a spectacular setting. Perched on top of the Munyanga River, overlooking Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Mahogany Springs consists of luxury suites surrounded by beautiful gardens and panoramic views of the verdant valley.
After we get settled in, we have dinner together.
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Today we rise with great anticipation and expectation for one of the most unforgettable wildlife experiences of a lifetime and ultimate connection. The pinnacle of our Priceless Tour is the ultimate experience of gorilla trekking in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. We will traverse dense vegetation, guided by expert trackers, to encounter the gentle giants of the forest. This intimate connection with gorillas is a transformative experience, a moment where consciousness evolves through the shared gaze with these magnificent creatures.
This morning, put on your hiking boots and head deep into the steamy jungles covering the peaks of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in pursuit of the rare mountain gorillas. The park is known to be one of the best places on the planet to see these fascinating primates. Your seasoned park guides search for the resident gorilla families and help you interpret local flora and fauna as you make your way through this pristine reserve. After hiking through the mesmerizing wilds of Bwindi, you will be rewarded with a truly hypnotizing encounter with the gorillas. From a safe distance, spend an hour observing them in their habitat and feel a true connection with the natural world. The tracking may take between 3 and 5 hours, depending on the current conditions and location of the gorillas. For people who have physical limitations, you can hire an “African Helicopter” to take you up the mountain – so no one is left out no matter their physical condition.
Afterwards, in awe, we return to our lodge to have lunch, an afternoon free, sacred time together, and dinner.
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
We have breakfast at our lodge and then sacred time together on our last full day of our journey. Afterwards, we embark on a priceless experience to visit the Murushasha Community School. This school has been adopted by Spirit Tours and CSLDallas and our full support ensures that the students who live in this region of the mountain do not have to walk 3-hours, one way, to attend the closest government subsidized school.
We guarantee that you will be touched and your heart will be blown wide open by spending time with the children, their teachers, and Grace.
Afterwards, we check into the Acadia Lodge Lake Bunyonyi for their spectacular views and an easier drive to Rwanda the next morning. The rest of the day is all about relaxation and massages. We end our day with a Celebration Dinner – sharing insights and transformation focusing on the Evolution of Consciousness.
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
After breakfast, we depart the magical mountains and head for Kigali Rwanda Airport (KGL). You are now ready to begin your journey home and reflect back on Uganda’s landscapes, from savannas to jungles, the falls, the trek with rhinos, and communing with primates.
