I learned first hand why Uganda is known as the Pearl of Africa. The people, wildlife and landscapes are absolutely wonderful! Spirit Tours planned every aspect of the trip so thoughtfully and beautifully. Overall the guides/drivers were so knowledgeable, compassionate and they really took care of us – on the roads, and assisting with our luggage. In fact, I had mobility challenges, and they ensured I was escorted when needed to reach the lodge or certain locations in safety and comfort. Every lodge was well appointed, the rooms were spacious and lovely, and they served fabulous meals. The staff members at each place were friendly, helpful and caring.

I loved the variety of experiences we had. We went on safari drives in Murchison Falls National Park and Queen Elizabeth National Park and cruised the Nile River and Kazinga Channel in boats, where we saw lions, leopards, giraffes, elephants, hippos, crocodiles, and many types of antelopes and birds. We did a walking tour in a Rhino sanctuary, and trekked the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to spend an hour with an amazing gorilla family. The second in command silverback actually brushed my leg with his body as he walked by me. It was thrilling to be up close with the large families of both species, including several babies!

We had a few cultural experiences with locals which included singing, dancing, weaving and stories. And the trip culminated in a celebration at the Murushasha Community School. The pride of the students, teachers, and community leaders was phenomenal to behold. The trip was unforgettable and life changing!

Japan has been on my bucket list for a long time. Having traveled with Spirit Tours many times, I knew I was going when they added this destination. They ensured we experienced Japan and its people, along with its beauty, serenity, and sacredness – from beautiful mountain retreats with Shinto and Zen Buddhism chanting and meditations, to sacred rock and water gardens; from tranquil walks through historic shrines, palaces, and temples to the cleanliness of the cities; from the artistry of the foods to beautiful walks and bicycle rides – stunning!

The Wild Atlantic Way Spirit Tours trip in Ireland was a deeply moving experience. I leaned into the opportunity to know and to feel the Celtic Spirit of the land and its people, guided by our spiritual Leader and our Irish guide. Spirit Tours took great care of us with lovely accommodations, delightful adventures (baby goats!!), and deeply meaningful activities (Saint Brigid’s Well).

 I found a balance of quality time and interactions with my fellow travelers, and wonderful time alone to reflect and absorb the beauty and magic of the Emerald Isle. Spirit Tours provides an experience like no other and I look forward to traveling with them again!

Since I was a little girl, my dream has been to explore Egypt. To say I was “blown away” is an understatement. Spirit Tours is not your everyday tour company. Spirit Tours made sure that our every need was met, from arrival to departure. Karen and her team went beyond our expectations, throwing in surprises and unexpected turns to make sure we experienced more than we thought we ever could. Our meals and travel arrangements were first class. The hotels were 5-Stars.  We were treated like royalty, especially on the boat ride down the Nile.

Our daily sacred gatherings enabled a group of complete strangers to become lifelong friends. Karen’s spiritual topics hit home and gave us time to think, reflect, and discuss. This was not just a tour for me; it was a fulfillment of a dream with the best lifelong memories I could ever hope to possess.

Marion and I are still feeling the impact of our trip to Bali with Karen and Spirit Tours. We can summarize the trip in two words: priceless and affordable. It was a sacred journey, filled with fun and enjoyment. There were landmarks to explore, reflecting the spiritual history of Bali and temples uniquely built, creating sacred spaces with gorgeous flowers blooming everywhere.

I must admit that, at first, I was a tag along. My wife, Marion, signed up almost immediately when the trip was announced. But something kept pulling at me and ultimately, I decided to go. It was one of those decisions I will never regret. The hospitality and friendliness of the native people, their spirituality 24/7 was infectious, the scenery, temples, and accommodations were all amazing.
