“Let every step you take upon the Earth be as a prayer” ~ Black Elk

Often called “Red Rock Country”, Sedona has some of the most spectacular scenery in the world, a perfect setting for a spiritual retreat. Indeed, this picturesque city is surrounded by red-rock monoliths named Bell Rock, Cathedral and Thunder Mountain. Here you will restore your Spirit in this peaceful retreat Meditate at sun rise on Bell Rock; visit the Palatki Indian Heritage Site; watch a stunning sunset at airport mesa and hike the Marge’s Draw in the high desert.

Abbreviated Itinerary

Day 1:

We will make our own way to Sedona and check in to our Hotel. The hotel is designed in harmony with the elements earth, air, fire and water. The eco-friendly environment invites our group to wonder at the beauty of the views and inviting sights and sounds of Nature.

Day 2:

We will rise before dawn and depart the hotel and venture to Bell Rock. There are several energy centers or vortexes of subtle energy located in the Sedona area. The energy from these vortexes saturates the whole area in and around Sedona and can be noticed in a subtle but general way. Visiting Bell rock is an unforgettable spiritual experience! The landscape is surreal in the soft glow as the rising sun light’s up the rock and surrounding mountains. Sit high atop the mountain and enjoy a peaceful meditation.

We will meet again in  the hotel lobby at 2:00 PM to take a 1-hour hike on Marge’s Draw trail from Schnebly Hill Road to the Broken Arrow Trailhead.  From the entrance to the trailhead, a short walk up a hill begins the trail and enters Wilderness. Shade is soon left behind and gorgeous red rock views open up as the trail winds its way north across a nearly flat expanse dotted with juniper, pinyon pine and Arizona cypress.

Day 3:

After breakfast we will meet at 9:00am 10:00am in the hotel meeting room, following this at 10am we will visit the Indian ruins. There are three trails at Palatki Heritage Site, one trail that takes you up to the Sinagua cliff dwellings. After lunch we will have free time to visit a spa, take a short walk to the shops nearby or visit Tlaquepaque (pronounced Tla-keh-pah-keh), Sedona, Arizona’s Arts & Crafts Village. Authentically fashioned after a traditional Mexican village, Tlaquepaque, meaning the “best of everything,” has been a Sedona landmark since the 1970’s. Farewell Dinner

Day 4:

After breakfast there will be a Sunday Morning Service before returning home.
