Cruise the Mekong River for 5 days, explore the ancient ruins of Angkor Wat, and stroll along a beach in Vietnam.



Daily Itinerary
We arrive in Luang Prabang, Laos. Nestled in the hills of northern Laos, the tranquil city of Luang Prabang is a designated UNESCO World Heritage site, which is studded with dozens of ornate temples and brimming with colorful markets and French colonial architecture.
You will embark on a 5 night Mekong river cruise. After settling in your cabin on the RV Mekong Pearl Cruise , we will have an afternoon guided city tour to some famous sites in the city including the magnificent Wat Xieng Thong temple.
Afterwards, take your time to relax in the spacious decks or in the lounge before taking part in a welcome reception on board. RV Mekong Pearl Cruise offers the selection of both Asian and European food throughout the cruise. Overnight on board.
Day 2 – Luang Prabang – Embarkation
In the early morning we will dis-embark the ship where we will have the opportunity to observe the stunning alms giving ceremony along the streets of Luang Prabang. We will re-embark back for breakfast followed by a cruise to the south, through the charming scenery along the Mekgong river. Overnight on board.
After breakfast, RV Mekong Pearl Cruise continues cruising upstream. Along the way, you may see the rustic sights of the fishermen on shore. After a few hours of cruising upriver, we will make a stop to visit the famous Kuang Si Falls by local tuk- tuk. This is one of the most famous waterfalls in Laos.
Re-embark the ship and pass through Luang Prabang. This evening, enjoy a BBQ dinner onboard in the beautiful setting of the riverside location. Overnight on board.
Mekong Pearl Cruise today will cruise further downstream offering a great opportunity to take in the impressive and remarkable scenery of the mighty river. Cruising along the “mother of waters” you may get sense of timelessness, as the life on the river is was it was years ago. You will then visit a local community which is often sponsored by the guests of the Mekong River Cruises. Enjoy the natural beauty along the shores and the continue cruising north.
Today, you will have some time to explore the famous Pak Ou Caves – home to thousands of Buddha statues of different sizes and shapes. Then, take a short walk through the jungle (optional) visit a local village.
On the way back to the ship, you may see the elephants in action. Re-embark RV Mekong Pearl Cruise to enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the Mekong River before reaching Luang Prabang again.
Once dis-embarking the ship the afternoon is at your leisure. You could take a walk up Phou Si hill to enjoy the stunning views over the river and the surrounding mountains. In the evening, relax with a stroll along the Mekong promenade or visit the colorful market of Hmong ethnic minority before having a farewell dinner on board with the traditional Baci – ceremony.
Check out of your cabin and dis-embark the RV Mekong Pearl Cruise. You will then be transferred to the airport for our flight to Seim Reap, Cambodia.
We will be traveling to Siem Reap, Cambodia, to visit the temples of Angkor. These temples were built between 802AD and 1220AD by the Khmer civilization and represent one of humankinds’ most amazing and lasting architectural achievements. After checking into our hotel we will have time to rest from the flight and in the evening we will have dinner together.
This morning we will rise early to chant with the monks, then visit the West Gate of the Angkor Wat Temple complex at sunrise. There are few places anywhere on earth to match the splendor of Angkor Wat.
After Morning Prayer, meditation and breakfast we will visit the temple complex of Angkor Thom. The afternoon is dedicated to free time and to exploring Siem Reap. Evening free.
We will have the morning free to explore Angkor Wat on your own, or relax at the hotel. After lunch we will fly to Danang, Vietnam and from there take a one hour bus ride to Hoi An, which translates as “peace meeting place”. Hoi An is a small town on the bank of Thu Bon river in the central of Quang Nam province. It is one of the most famous destinations in the middle part of Viet Nam, 30km far from Da Nang. We will have the evening free.

This morning you have free time to rest from the late arrival and tour the town on you own. In the afternoon, we will walk to the ancient town and visit the Kwan Temple, Phuc Kien Chinese Assembly Hall, Tan Ky old House and Japanese Bridge.
Today is a free day. We will venture to Ang Bang. Which is a nice sandy beach, calm clear sea, and not too crowded. We suggest relaxing today; sit and enjoy one of the private huts looking over the beautiful sea. There will be an opportunity for lunch at a seaside restaurant on your own. We will have a farewell dinner in Hoi An.
