SUMMARY OF ITINERARY for May 25 – June 2, 2027

Day 1, Tues, May 25: Arrive in Cusco / Sacred Valley / Welcome Dinner

Arrive at Cusco Airport and be transported to the Sacred Valley where you’ll check-in to our beautiful 4-star resort. It’s time to rest and get acclimated to Peru’s incredible climate and landscapes. The Sacred Valley is the perfect place to begin our pilgrimage. We celebrate our arrival together with a special Welcome Dinner.

Meal Included: Dinner

Day 2, Wed, May 26: Sacred Valley / Chinchero / Quechua Archaeological Site

We have an opening circle to get to know one another, connect, and set personal intentions for this pilgrimage. We left our daily lives behind to immerse ourselves in this spiritual pilgrimage that brings peace and transformation to every participant.

Afterwards, we travel through the Sacred Valley to visit Chinchero. Discover the traditional methods of weaving and dying wool. We take time to witness local weavers demonstrate traditional weaving styles and techniques at the weaving center. Everywhere you go in the region, you’ll see some version of these textiles in the form of sweaters, hats, mittens, blankets, tote bags, etc. Consider picking up an item or two for your journey; you’ll be cozy in your soft, warm alpaca wool on cool mornings and nights along our journey.

Afterwards, we enjoy a banquet lunch at UNU Tiobamba Restaurant in the Sacred Valley. Tiobamba is a charming restaurant nestled within the Sacred Valley. Designed to mirror local architecture, UNU Tiobamba resembles a traditional family home, offering an authentic and comfortable setting. Here, we savor the rich gastronomy of Chinchero and immerse ourselves in its culture amidst natural beauty and striking landscapes.

Next we experience Moray, an archaeological site containing unusual Incan ruins consisting of enormous circular terraces, the largest of which is about 98 ft deep. The purpose of these depressions is shrouded in mystery, but their depth and orientation with respect to wind and sun creates a temperature difference, at the bottom from the top, as much as 27°F. Surrounded by the towering Andes mountains, looking into the depths of these man-made craters will fill you with awe and wonder.

Meals Included: Breakfast and Lunch

Day 3, Thurs, May 20: Ollantaytambo / Train Ride to Machu Picchu / Aquas Calientes

Today begins with sacred group time, followed by breakfast and a sacred trip to Ollantaytambo. This ancient site includes sumptuous constructions, extensive terraces, irrigation and is thought to have been home to Inca nobility. It is one of the remarkable archaeological sites of the Incan empire with functioning aqueducts and ancient burial grounds.

There’s time to shop and grab some lunch on your own, then walk to the train station.

Experience an incredible train ride towards Machu Picchu! Machu Picchu lay hidden from the world for such a long time because its location is remote and inaccessible. The nearest town is Aguas Calientes, which is in the valley beside the Sacred River (Vilcanota/Urubamba River). There are no roads connecting Aguas Calientes to the outside world, so you get to take a spectacular train along the Sacred River and enjoy gorgeous views of the Andes Mountains. Upon arriving, we check-in to our 5-star resort, Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel. It’s an exquisite and magical resort and you’ll love seeing your room and then having dinner together.

Meal Included: Breakfast and Dinner

Day 4, Fri, May 28: Machu Picchu

Our morning is magical and mystical. We rise early, and after breakfast, take the bus transfer to Machu Picchu. Be grateful we’re riding as we climb the narrow, steep, zigzagging dirt track that gets us very close to the entrance. The day begins with a guided tour for 2.5 hours. The ruins are usually shrouded in mist in the morning, and the sun comes out in the early afternoon. Photos do not do justice to the awe and inspiration you’ll feel as your spirit merges with this iconic site.

We suggest you visit the Sun Gate, Inti Punku, situated high above the ruins and not too difficult. The view from the Sun Gate is amazing, takes your breath away as you observe The Machu Pichu Mountain, the Sacred River, and Huayna Picchu Mountain.

The rest of the day is yours to relax and contemplate at our resort – perhaps get a spa treatment. You can also choose to explore the town of Aguas Calientes on your own.

Meals Included: Breakfast and Dinner

Day 5, Sat, May 29: Free Day (Machu Picchu, Aquas Calientes, Guided Birdwatching Walk/Orchids Excursion)

You get to choose how you spend this day! Perhaps go back to Machu Picchu and hike a different trail. Explore the gorgeous property of Inkaterra – especially if you love birds and/or orchids. They have complementary excursions. You can explore Aquas Caliente – its handicraft market, restaurants, and shops.

Please note Machu Picchu tickets are not included on this day. Tickets must be reserved in advanced with us. You can choose a different circuit and take it at your own pace – truly soak in the sacredness of this ancient site. Perhaps experience Machu Picchu from a different perspective this time.

Option: For more agile/athletic travelers, there is a difficult hike available. The climb to Huayna Picchu is restricted to 400 people per day in two groups of 200. The first group is allowed entrance between 7-8am and the second group is allowed entrance between 10- 11am. There is an additional fee to climb Huayna Picchu and must be booked in advance so let us know. There are cables attached to the rock in many places to help the climber and there are places to step aside to catch your breath and enjoy the view. To reach the very top you must climb through a very narrow tunnel through the rock on your hands and knees. This 1.5-hour hike is very difficult and only for the very fit. The views from the top are breathtaking.

Meal Included: Breakfast and Dinner

Day 6, Sun, May 30: Travel back to Cusco

We have sacred group time to share and process what’s transpired. We check out of our hotel in the morning and board the train to Ollantaytambo and transfer to Cusco to check in to our hotel 4-star hotel conveniently located in the heart of Cusco.

Take time to walk around the city of Cusco and enjoy the shops and restaurants at your leisure.

Meals Included: Breakfast

Day 7, Mon, May 31: Sacsayhuaman Ruins / Temple of the Sun

We visit the ruins of Sacsayhuaman up above the hills of Cusco. Admire the magnificence of this ancestral site and connect with the living elements it offers. Our Shamans lead us in a heart ceremony and will share some things that are simply unbelievable.

Enjoy a fabulous lunch at an acclaimed restaurant in Cusco. Then, we visit the Qoricancha, the Temple of the Sun.

Meals Included: Breakfast and Lunch

Day 8, Tues, June 1: Shaman Ritual

After breakfast, we are invited to a special place to experience an Incan Shaman where he creates a ritual and offering to Pachamama, mother earth. This is a very sacred ceremony that is sure to touch you deep inside. There will also be an opportunity to be with lamas. In the afternoon, you have free time to rest, shop, or visit a local museum. We’ll have a celebration dinner to celebrate our pilgrimage together.

Meals Included: Breakfast and Dinner

Day 9, Wed, June 2: Cusco

We have our final sacred group time, followed by breakfast. There is time for last minute shopping and exploration before you transfer to Cusco airport and back home or… on to your next sacred adventure.
